First off, everyone sorts their crate differently. This is just our way which all songs are pre-tagged for. Use this, modify it or don’t use it at all. It’s all a personal choice.
Our goal is to help you have the most organized crate and have multiple ways to search for the next song. Our naming convention allows you to use any DJ/Music player, in any scenario. For example, if something goes wrong with Serato or you need to use another DJ software, or even iTunes, you can always find music by using a Finder Window. You will find that the naming convention starts with BPM and all relevant track info in the name, so you can literally find the next song no matter the software or situation.

MP3 Naming:

FILE | BPM | Key | Artist | Song Title | EMOJI | Year | Genre |
EMOJI:
We add EMOJIs to the ‘Label’ section of each MP3. The symbols represent different genres while the rating is number of fires. A song can have a rating of 0 to 3 fires. 3 fires being the best.
3 Fire EMOJI Rating System
Rate things how you like. Here we’ll rate things according to the tracks usefulness for a crowd not because we think its dope. A track will get 0 – 3 fires depending on the track’s hotness for its genre. So there are some real shitty songs that do real well for their intended crowd. Enough said.
